Material characteristics of PE plastic pallets

PE tray, also known as polyethylene tray, is mainly made of polyethylene (PE) as the main raw material, which endows it with many excellent properties. Polyethylene material has excellent chemical stability and exhibits outstanding resistance to various chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, formic acid, phosphoric acid, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, etc. at room temperature. The trays made from it have outstanding wear resistance, strong impact resistance, lightweight quality, and long service life. Especially for trays made of high-density impact resistant polyethylene (HDPE) material, these advantages are further amplified. Its tolerance to harsh environments is greatly improved, with excellent cold resistance and superior chemical stability. It is non-toxic and odorless, and has characteristics such as corrosion and mold resistance, oil and dirt resistance, and steam penetration resistance. It has strong impact resistance, can effectively resist environmental stress cracking, and does not absorb water or moisture. Its dielectric performance is extremely excellent. These characteristics enable PE pallets to effectively protect goods from damage in logistics transportation, warehousing and storage scenarios, and adapt to various complex transportation and storage environments.
Material characteristics of PE plastic pallets
The production process of PE pallets mainly includes injection molding and blow molding. In terms of injection molding, PE in the state of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) has sufficient rigidity and is suitable for injection molding, while also maintaining a certain degree of toughness. The blow molding process is an advantageous field for PE trays, and PE materials (especially HDPE) have significant advantages in producing hollow plastic trays due to their good melt strength and low-temperature flexibility. According to different production processes and usage requirements, PE pallets have evolved into various categories. Common types of PE pallets include blow molded nine legged pallets weighing between 7kg and 14kg, as well as blow molded double-sided pallets weighing between 16kg and 40kg. These different categories of PE pallets have their own characteristics in structural design, such as bottom reinforcement ribs and anti slip design, which further enhance their load-bearing capacity and meet the load-bearing needs of different goods. Whether it is manual handling or mechanical operation, they are very convenient.

PE pallets have been widely used in multiple industries due to their excellent performance. In the food industry, it is used for packaging and transportation of fruits, vegetables, meat and other commodities. Its characteristics of non porous, easy to clean, corrosion-resistant, moisture-proof and insect proof can effectively reduce pollution risks and meet strict food safety regulations. In the chemical industry, PE pallets have become an ideal choice for the transportation and storage of chemical goods due to their excellent chemical stability and ability to withstand various chemicals.

From a global market perspective, the overall size of the global pallet market is expected to reach approximately 87.52 billion US dollars by 2026. Plastic pallets, as one of the fastest-growing sub categories, will also usher in development opportunities for PE pallets. More and more PE trays are made of recyclable materials, which can be recycled and reused to reduce their impact on the environment.
