As the core unit of the logistics system, plastic pallets on shelves have become a key carrier for warehouse automation with standardized design and high compatibility. Performance of plastic pallets in automated storage
The high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and copolymer polypropylene (PP) materials of plastic pallets endow them with excellent impact resistance and low temperature resistance, making them suitable for complex environments such as cold chain and chemical engineering. Compared to traditional wooden pallets, its nail free structure avoids damage to goods, has a smooth and easy to clean surface, meets food grade hygiene standards, and reduces the risk of cross contamination. In the automated three-dimensional warehouse, the four-way fork design and robot collaborative operation achieve fast access to goods, improve stacking stability, and increase storage density. Enterprises reduce single use costs and minimize the impact of plastic waste on the ecology through tray recycling and shared pools, as well as lightweight technologies such as long glass fiber reinforced materials. In the future, intelligent upgrades will accelerate, and RFID chips and blockchain traceability technology will endow pallets with the function of "digital passports", achieving full traceability of goods throughout the entire chain and laying the foundation for smart logistics.

With the deepening of Industry 4.0, plastic pallets are evolving from static load-bearing tools to dynamic data nodes. The intelligent sensing system collects real-time temperature, humidity, and location information, seamlessly integrates with WMS, and optimizes warehousing decisions. The application of new materials (such as LGFPP composite materials) reduces weight while maintaining strength, expanding air transportation and high-end manufacturing scenarios. The industry will focus on balancing "high performance and low environmental cost", continuously improving supply chain resilience through structural innovation and circular systems, and assisting in the global logistics green transformation.
