Plastic pallets - the pillar of the logistics industry
Source: kuda  Time2025-10-25
Plastic pallets, as the core carrier of logistics and warehousing, are gradually replacing traditional wooden pallets due to their lightweight, high strength, and corrosion resistance characteristics. Its materials are mainly polypropylene (PP) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which are molded through injection molding or blow molding processes. The structural design covers fields, rivers, and nine legged shapes, which can meet different load-bearing requirements. For example, the nine point support structure of the T-shaped card board can disperse and concentrate loads, with a dynamic load capacity of up to 1500kg, making it particularly suitable for frequent operations in automated three-dimensional warehouses. The smooth surface makes it easy to clean and meets strict hygiene standards in the food and pharmaceutical industries. At the same time, the use of recyclable materials also responds to environmental trends.
Plastic pallets - the invisible pillar of the logistics industry
In application scenarios, plastic card boards exhibit a wide range of adaptability. The food industry relies on its stable support to ensure packaging efficiency, while the electronics manufacturing industry uses its shock-absorbing structure to protect precision parts; In the chemical industry, HDPE cardboard, with a crystallinity of 92%, can resist strong acid and alkali corrosion, and only shows slight swelling after 2000 hours in concentrated sulfuric acid environment. In cold chain logistics, the cold resistance (-30 ℃ notch impact strength 55kJ/m ²) and surface anti icing design of PP pallets significantly improve the reliability of polar transportation. In addition, the double-sided card board achieves bidirectional forklift operation through a symmetrical grid structure, with a heavy load capacity of up to 2 tons, making it an ideal choice for heavy cargo handling.

Structural innovation is the key to the functional differentiation of plastic pallets. The three parallel reinforcing ribs of the Sichuan shaped pallet optimize the forklift passage, with a lateral rigidity 200% higher than that of ordinary pallets. IKEA's European distribution center uses its transport ultra long bed frame, reducing the cargo damage rate to 0.3%. The star shaped layout of the nine legged card board achieves a weight distribution uniformity of 92%. In the drug transit warehouse of Daifuku Logistics in Japan, its hollow design improves the respiratory heat emission efficiency of fruits and vegetables by 35%. At the same time, the rubber shock absorber pad controls the glass medicine bottle damage rate below 0.05%. Exemption card boards are classified into double-sided and single-sided types to meet the diverse needs of stacking, shelving, and other scenarios.

With the upgrading of automation technology, plastic pallets are developing towards intelligence and customization. The wood plastic composite card board produced by extrusion molding method combines wood feel and waterproofness, and can be sawed and nailed, expanding the application of home logistics; The vacuum forming method reduces costs through large-scale equipment and is suitable for specialized packaging such as small motors. When selecting an enterprise, it is necessary to comprehensively consider load-bearing capacity, size, and environmental friendliness, such as matching card specifications based on the weight of the packaging or considering the compatibility of automation equipment. In the future, its efficient and reliable characteristics will further reduce the operating costs of enterprises and promote the sustainable development of the manufacturing industry.
