Classification System of Plastic Pallets
Source: kuda  Time2025-10-14
Structural type
Blown Hollow Type: Featuring a double-sided hollow structural design, it achieves the optimal ratio of compressive strength to self-weight through internal honeycomb support, making it suitable for stacking requirements in automated warehouses.
Injection-molded mesh type: Features a diamond or square grid surface structure that combines ventilation and anti-slip functions, making it particularly suitable for storing goods such as fruits and vegetables that require air circulation.
Flatbed Reinforced Type: Features an added rib design at the bottom, capable of supporting irregularly shaped cargo, commonly used in mechanical component transportation scenarios.
Classification System of Plastic Pallets
Functional variant
Four-way fork type: The four-sided fork design adapts to various handling directions, enhancing efficiency by over 40% when used with electric forklifts.
Anti-static type: Modified with carbon powder to meet the anti-static requirements of precision products such as electronic components.
Cold Chain Specialized Type: Made of low-temperature-resistant modified PP material, it maintains flexibility even at -30°C to prevent brittle fracture.
Material Evolution
High-density polyethylene (HDPE): Through molecular chain cross-linking technology
Enhance impact resistance, making it the preferred choice for packaging corrosive liquids in the chemical industry.
Copolymer polypropylene (PP): Incorporates ethylene monomers to enhance toughness, replacing metal pallets in automotive parts transportation.
Bio-based composites: Starch-based degradable pallets, rapidly gaining popularity under the EU Green Packaging Directive.
The core advantages of plastic pallets lie in their dual breakthroughs in performance and value. Firstly, their exceptional load-bearing capacity achieves a perfect balance of high strength and lightweight through a hollow structural design, enabling stable stacking of heavy loads while remaining easy to handle. Secondly, their moisture-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties far surpass those of wooden pallets in humid or chemically aggressive environments, preventing mold and erosion while extending service life. Thirdly, their lightweight and flexible characteristics significantly enhance operational efficiency, reducing labor intensity whether through manual adjustments or mechanical operations. The hygienic and easy-to-clean surface design is particularly suitable for the food and pharmaceutical industries, with its smooth, pore-free structure preventing bacterial growth and requiring only simple wiping to maintain cleanliness. Additionally, anti-slip treatments effectively prevent cargo slippage, ensuring operational safety. From an environmental perspective, the use of recyclable materials aligns with green logistics trends, minimizing resource waste. These advantages collectively establish the indispensable role of plastic pallets in modern warehousing, meeting functional demands while adhering to sustainable development principles.
