1、 Price change trend
In recent years, the price of plastic pallets has shown a significant downward trend, and the prices of some products have almost halved compared to previous years. This change is due to stable raw material costs, improved production processes, and intensified market competition. For example, the average market price in 2022 is about 140.8 yuan/piece, but by early 2025, the price of universal new material pallets has dropped to about 140 yuan/piece, and the price of some recycled products is as low as 60% of the same size new materials.

Raw material cost: The main raw materials for plastic pallets are polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), etc., and their prices are relatively stable due to the promotion of large-scale production and recycling technology in the petrochemical industry. In contrast, wooden pallets experience greater price fluctuations due to limited wood resources and policy influences.
Production process and size: The larger the size and the higher the load-bearing capacity of the pallet, the higher the requirements for equipment and materials, and the corresponding cost increases. For example, the 1200 × 1000mm universal plastic tray has a price advantage due to standardized production.
Material type: The price difference between new and recycled materials is significant. Food grade new material trays have better durability and corrosion resistance, but the cost is about 20% -30% higher than ordinary recycled materials.
Low price competition has led some companies to use inferior raw materials, causing problems such as shortened product life and safety hazards. For example, low-quality pallets are prone to breakage and deformation, which increases the frequency of customer replacement and environmental pressure.
